Research has found that more than half of the employees surveyed consider their offices too noisy. 

Whichever direction you wish to reduce noise transference it will boil down to two approaches. You either reduce the decibel level (dB) at the source of the noise or you shield against it. 

This is where expertise enters. You need to be able to define the noise levels in dB’s in order that you can ‘design out’ or substantially reduce its deteriorating effects. 

Noise barriers are not pretty! But they can be concealed so that they disappear or they can be made a bold feature of the design.
